The question of what eCommerce platform to use (or migrate to) is always a really tough decision for any business to make, even moreso at the enterprise end of the market (where you have a lot more budget at stake, more stakeholders involved etc). Enterprise eCommerce solutions don’t come cheap and they require a huge amount of time (and a lot of people) to implement, run and maintain. This is why it’s fundamentally important that you remain highly organised and systematic in your research and decision-making process, as selecting the wrong platform can have a huge impact on your business (both short-term and long-term).

The vast majority of the work I’ve done over the last few years has been focused on migrating to Magento or Shopify Plus. At Vervaunt we tend to work with these more than any other platform because of the types of businesses we work with, as a result of our team’s experience and their general popularity. I personally have spent the majority of my career working in and around Magento and, more recently, that focus has shifted to be between these two platforms.
